In the beginning…
I am born and raised in the UK but because my mother is French, I was educated at the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle in London. So I was brought up bilingual, blending seamlessly between both cultures and loving it.
I’d always wanted to be an actress and straight out of school I got accepted to the renowned Drama Centre London (the Method one) on their 3 year BA Hons Acting course. It was intense but I learned a lot!
After a good few years of acting on stage and in front of the camera in French AND in English, I discovered a talent for ADR. Which got me thinking…
Work - Life - Balance
But first, Yoga came into my life and I was smitten! So I spent the next ten years successfully teaching it and becoming pretty bendy and chilled in the process. What’s not to love about that?
Eventually it was time to leave London - husband, kids, twins (yikes!!), more space - etc, etc… You know how it goes!
So beautiful Somerset became my new home.
Where I am now.
There I was, in Somerset, living my best life with a gorgeous dog to complete the perfect picture - Aaahhh!
But with the combination of lockdown and then renovating our entire house (I don’t recommend it!), I decided it was the right time to finally go back to what I’d always dreamed of doing and I built a self-contained, professional sound booth (well, I didn’t actually do any of it…) and started my Voiceover career in earnest.
My Fox Red Lab follows me everywhere (as you can see), but don’t worry, I kick her out of the booth when I’m recording!
Back to my roots!
Although I still keep my hand in with a Yoga class here or there, being a Voiceover artist is definitely what I’m supposed to be doing. I’ve honestly never been happier.
And I much prefer acting from behind a mic than in front of a camera. The fact that I’m hidden away, talking to myself in a dark padded room is my idea of a dream job. I’m not even joking!
